Carolyn Sue Replogle, 76, of Merriam KS passed away at KU Med Center, after battling leukemia, on March 1, 2017. Sue was born February 14, 1941 in Tampa, Florida to John and Mildred Richmond. She is survived by her daughters, Brooke (William) High, Laura (Eric) Amundson, brothers, John and George Richmond, 7 grandchildren, Ashley (Ben) McCauley, Hannah Amundson, Jessica (Phillip) Winter, Caleb Amundson, Nathan High, Grace Amundson, Joseph High, and 2 great-grandchildren, Clayton and Fayre McCauley. Sue was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Douglas. Sue was an NICU nurse at Shawnee Mission Med Center for nearly 40 years, and taught clinical nursing students for 10 years. She was very active with several groups at COR, including the choir, quilters guild, her small group, book club, and Sisters in Grime, a ministry that helps clean and restore apartments for those in need. She will most be remembered for her love and care of babies, her calm, gentle nature, and her ability to touch all those who knew her with her genuine, caring spirit. She will be deeply missed by her friends and family. Her family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at KU Med for their wonderful care.
A Visitation will take place 10:00 ~ 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Church of the Resurrection (COR) Wesley Chapel 13720 Roe Ave. Leawood, Kansas 66224 with a Memorial Service immediately following at 11:00AM.
Memorial Contributions in Sue's name may be made to "Church of the Resurrection" Music Ministries (Choir), or Pathways Ministry (Seminary Scholarships).
