Carolyn M. Rogers, 84, of Merriam, Kansas, passed away, Sunday, October 7, 2012, at her home.
Carolyn was born in Kansas City, Kansas, and grew up on Strawberry Hill where she attended St. John the Baptist Grade School. She worked at Katz, Skaggs, and Osco Drug Stores before retiring. She was a member of the Retail Clerks Union and St. Joseph Catholic Church. Carolyn loved going to the casinos with her friend Rose Brooks.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Ivan Rogers who referred to her as his "Princess"; a daughter Paula Rogers-Fedor and her husband, Ted; a granddaughter, Ashley Hauber and her husband, Eric; three great grandchildren, George Edward, Charlie Joseph, and Penelope Marie-Margaret Hauber; a sister, Louise Lisac and two brothers, Edward and Paul Mufich.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m., Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m., Thursday at the church.
The family suggests contributions to the Strawberry Hill Museum.
