Carrie Olene (Wilson) Habib

Carrie Olene Wilson-Habib, daughter of Myrle Wilson and the late John Wilson was born August 15, 1960, in Milton, Florida and passed away September 6, 2023, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, MO at the age of 63 years.

Survivors include:
One son; Alex Habib of Kansas City, MO.
One daughter; Sarah Habib, Bethesda, MD.
Mother; Myrle Wilson, Springfield, MO.
Two sisters; Mary Rowland and Joyce Hood of Springfield, MO.

Carrie graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a bachelor’s degree in architecture. She worked for EDC in Kansas City, MO as a grant writer. She had many interests, loved to sew and make her own clothes, she loved to read and belonged to two book clubs. She volunteered at Habitat for Humanity and Rightfully sewn in Kansas City and was eager to give her time to many causes and anyone in need. She loved to cook and at one time had her own catering business with a friend. She will be missed by many friends and family.

Celebration of Life will be held from 3-5 pm, Sunday, September 10, 2023, at Youth and Community Center in Kansas City, 6425 Wornall Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64113.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in Carrie’s name.
