Catherine J. Lester

Catherine J. Lester, 77, of Lenexa, Kansas, passed away November 1, 2011, at the Kansas City Hospice House.

Catherine was born October 1, 1934, to Charles and Nannie Youker. She graduated from St. Luke's School f Nursing in 1956 and was well known for her loving and kind bedside manner.

Catherine is survived by her twin sister, Carolyn (Rolland) Larson; son Ken (Bonnie) Lester; daughter Karen (Dave) Richards; her three precious grandsons, Ben (Megan), Wes and Joe Richards; three adorable great grandchildren, Bo, Lucy and Macy Richards; nephew, Stan (Kelly) Larson; niece Nancy (Frank) Salerno; and several great nieces and great nephew.

Catherine impacted many lives with the love of Christ that reigned in her heart. Her greatest joy was her faith in her risen Savior. She will be missed by many.

Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m., Friday, November 4, 2011, at Calvary Baptist Church, 8130 Lackman Road, Lenexa, Kansas 66215. The funeral will follow at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Good Samaritan Fund at Lakeview Village, 9100 Park Street, Lenexa, Kansas 66215.
