Cathy Noreen Toomay

Cathy Noreen Toomay, 50, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away Friday, March 2, 2012, at her home.

Cathy was born August 7, 1961, to Gene and Jo Ann Toomay in Kansas City, Kansas. She graduated from Shawnee Mission Northwest in 1979. Cathy enjoyed spending time visiting family and water skiing. She was an avid reader, especially Stephen King and Clive Barker novels. Cathy loved her many and varied pets.

She is survived by her loving parents Gene and Jo Ann Toomay; son, Michael Baxter, Jr. and wife Tashina; two sisters, Denise Brooks and husband Chuck and Susan Toomay; and grandson, Aidan Baxter. Cathy was preceded in death by her brother, David Toomay on May 14, 1994.

A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2012, at the Amos Family Funeral Home and Crematory. A Celebration of Cathy's life will follow the visitation at 7 p.m. Private graveside services will be at a later date.
