Chad Glenn Farrell

Chad Glenn Farrell, 39, of Overland Park, passed away Tuesday evening, April 12, 2011, in Kansas City, Kansas.

Chad was born March 3, 1972, in Kansas City, Missouri. Chad graduated from Miami-Dade College with an Associate’s degree in Psychology and Literature. Chad was ordained as a Baptist minister on December 13, 2009, from the First Baptist Church of Hialeah Gardens. Chad recently returned to the Kansas City area after 19 years in the Miami, Florida area. He worked at Kansas City Community Center as a Drug and Alcohol Abuse Counselor.

Chad is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Glenn and Martha Pratt. He is survived by his mother, Glenda; his father, Larry Farrell and wife Cathy; his beloved Jonni Hastings; an aunt, June; two uncles, Kelsey and Wayne; two great aunts, Ethel Cooper, and Bernice Fee and husband George; great uncle Roscoe West; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Kansas City Community Center, 1730 Prospect Avenue, Kansas City, Missouri 64127.

Visitation and Celebration of Life Service

Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2011, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. A Celebration of Chad's life will follow the visitation at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
