Charlene Robbins

Charlene S. Robbins, 89, Overland Park, KS passed away Friday, March 22, 2019 at the Kansas City Hospice House, Kansas City, MO.

Charlene was born May 11, 1929 in Maryville, MO to Ernest and Helen (Gomel) Schenkel. On May 11, 1951 Charlene married William O. Robbins, Jr. in Maryville, MO. Charlene was an active member of P.E.O., D.A.R., and charter member of American Hereford Assoc. Auxiliary. She also held offices in the Missouri Hereford Assoc. Auxiliary. Charlene enjoyed riding horses, grandparenting, geneology, reading and cooking.

Charlene was preceded in death by her husband, Bill and son, Jon. Survivors include her children, William O. "Copper" (Dan McMahon) Robbins, III, Brookline, NH, Linda Robbins, Dana Point, CA, and Bruce (Judith) Robbins, Lenexa, KS; brother, Gary (Carol) Schenkel, Henderson, NV; three grandchildren, Timothy Robbins, Andrea (Michael) Boyd, and Brennan Whitley; and two great grandsons, Caleb Boyd and Nolan Boyd.

Visitation will be 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday at Amos Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be  11:00 a.m.  Saturday at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, 6630 Nall Ave, Mission, KS 66202; burial in Leavenworth National Cemetery.
