Charles H. Arnspiger, 83, of Kansas City, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2017 in Rockledge, FL.

Charles was born May 13, 1934 to the late Harold and Ruth Arnspiger in Merriam, KS.  A lifelong Kansas City resident, Charles attended Shawnee Mission High School and graduated in 1952.  After high school, Charles earned a bachelor's degree from Kansas State Teachers College in Pittsburg in 1956. After graduation, Charles married Bobbie Jo Barnes, the love of his life and eternal soulmate, on June 16, 1956.  He entered the U.S. Army in October of 1956.

Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Jo on May 22, 2008 and his brother Dr. Robert Arnspiger in 2013.  He is survived by his son, Ted Arnspiger and wife Claire; a daughter, Sondra Goodson and husband John; 7 grandchildren, Michelle Dickey and husband Jamie; Krystal Gonzalez and husband John; Tyler Rice and wife Ashley; Austin Rice and wife Justine; Eric Rice and wife Laura; Virginia Snyder and husband Matthew; Christine Goodson; and eight great grandchildren.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be 12:30 to 1:30 pm Thursday, July 6 at the Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Dr., Shawnee, KS 66203.  Funeral services will follow at 1:30 pm at the funeral home.  Burial with military honors will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery.
