Charles G. Brandon, 57, Overland Park, unexpectedly passed away Thursday evening, February 28, 2013, at Kansas City Christian School, following a school track team practice.
Charles was born on September 27, 1955, in Overland Park, Kansas. Charles was an esteemed, executive construction businessman at a division of United Excel Corporation, a member of the Mechanical Contractors Association, the National Insulator Association, a cherished volunteer cross-country/track coach and mentor at Kansas City Christian School, and above all, a treasured husband and father.
He is succeeded by Connie Brandon; his three sons: Charles Jr., Phillip, and David; his brother, Steven Brandon; uncle, Richard Brandon; aunt, Helen Eddy; cousins, Mark and Richard Eddy.
He is preceded in death by parents, John and Lettie Brandon; sister, Jean Landon; and uncle, Robert Brandon.
A visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, March 4, 2013, at Faith Chapel Assembly of God Church, 15000 Newton, Overland Park, Kansas 66223. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 5, 2013, also at the church. Pastors, Ed Powell and Bob Cave will officiate. Burial will follow in Ashland Cemetery, St. Joseph, Missouri.
