Charles B. Delgado, 80, of Shawnee, Kansas, passed away Monday, March 30, 2020, at the Kansas City Hospice House.

Charlie was born April 17, 193,9 in Waco, Texas, and grew up in Houston, Texas.  He graduated from San Jacinto High School in Houston, Texas in 1957.  After high school he went in the Navy Reserve then enlisted in the Air Force.  He then spent 2 years at West Point Academy in New York.  In 1962, he married the love of his life, Karen Mishler and they began their 58 year journey together.  In 1964, he graduated from Lamar State college of Technology in Beaumont, Texas, with a bachelor's degree in Political Science and Economics.  In 1966, he graduated with his master in Public Administration from the University of Kansas.  He started his career as the assistant to the city manager in Salina, Kansas, then continued his career as City Manager of Newport, Arkansas; Winfield, Kansas, and Shawnee, Kansas.  He was the Executive Director of the Kansas City Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and retired from the IRS.  He loved to fish, play golf, watch old movies and spend time with his buddies playing cards.

Charlie is preceded in death by his father, Charles Delton (formerly Delgado) and his mother Nakayah Delgado.  He leaves behind his wife of 58 years, Karen Delgado.  His sons, Kevin Delgado and cat Alice,  Chris Delgado and wife Nancy; daughter, Melissa Sieracki and husband Scott; his grandchildren, Ashley Cook; Sara White; Sterling Sieracki, Stafford Sieracki, Sebastian Sieracki, Seton Sieracki, JD Robbins and Cindy Heather.  Great grandchildren,  Kasie and Elijah Hardin and baby on the way.  Special addition to the family, Karla and David Grosdidier and family.  He loved them all in his own special way.
