Charles L. Kneisler

May 21, 1929 — March 10, 2019

Charles Lewis Kneisler, 89, of Lenexa, KS passed away March 10, 2019. Charles was born May 21, 1929 at home in Louisville, KY to Robert and Marie (Miller) Kneisler. Charles was one of five children. He was husband of one and was able to celebrate 52 years of marriage with his beautiful wife JoAnne until she passed in April of 2012. He was the father of seven children, thirteen grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.  He worked as a radio disc jockey and advertising salesman. He raised his family in a small Catholic community in Colwich, KS.  He was a proud member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church and an outstanding church lector. May he rest peacefully now, as he is in the presence of Jesus Christ, the Lord, with whom he served as a devout Catholic for all his life. His faith and joy will transcend his life here through his children and grandchildren who will miss him dearly.

Charles is survived by his sons; Matthew (Shannon), Mark, Luke, John, Christopher (Nancy), and Andrew Kneisler, daughter Kathleen (John) Haeker.  He is also survived by nine handsome grandsons, Joshua, Boaz, Justin, Brandon, Steven, Noah, Chas (CJ), Sean Kneisler, and Drew Haeker; four beautiful granddaughters, Heather (Stephen) Bradford, Allison Haeker, Arabella and Anna Monet Kneisler; three great-grandchildren Adalynn, William and Elizabeth Bradford; brother James (Evelyn) Kneisler; brother-in-law Anthony (Tony) Recktenwald; sister-in-law Kathey Fleming and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Friday, March 15, 2019 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Shawnee, KS.  Mass will follow at 11:00 am. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa, KS.
