Charles O. Wilks, 66, Bonner Springs, Kansas, passed away Saturday, December 7, 2013, at his home.

Charles was born August 7, 1947, in Bentonville, Arkansas, to Orval O. and Hazel May Wilks. He was a 1966 graduate of Rosedale High School in Kansas City, Kansas. He was a veteran of U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. In 1980, Charles moved to Bentonville, Arkansas, until 2008. Charles was a pressman for the Arkansas Democrat Gazette, retiring in 2006. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and woodworking.

Survivors include his daughter, Amanda Wilks; son, Shaun Wilks, both of Little Rock, Arkansas; sister, Edna South, Kansas City, Kansas; niece, Christa Golden, Shawnee, Kansas and nephew, Charles South, Edwardsville, Kansas; and three grandchildren, Tate, Atleigh and Ayden Wilks, Little Rock, Arkansas.

Services

His wishes were to be cremated. A memorial service will be planned in the Spring of 2014.
