Charlotte Ann Yoch 83 of Shawnee Kansas passed away on Sunday May 21, 2023. She was born May 4th, 1940, in Kansas City Missouri and lived much of her life in the local area. She graduated from Rosedale High School. Charlotte was a member of First Southern Baptist Church for over 40 years and was an active member throughout that time. She was a veteran Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher during her time at the Church.
Charlotte was an avid KU Basketball fan and rarely missed watching a game. She loved Baseball and the Kansas City Royals. Her favorite current player was Salvador Perez. Salvy always brought a smile to her face. She loved the Kansas City Chiefs as well, but as she always said, “Football is not my sport.” She almost never missed one of her children’s or Grandchildren’s games.
Most of her Professional career was spent in the Insurance industry. She retired from Jackson National Life as the Regional Office Manager. When she was not attending her Grandchildren’s school and sporting events, she loved to dive into a book and just read. She could burn through books that would take most people weeks to read.
She is survived by her loving husband of over 60 years, Charles W. Yoch of Shawnee, KS, a daughter Ann L. Watson-Yoch of Gladstone, MO, a son Charles Michael Yoch and daughter-in-law Peggy S. Yoch of Merriam, KS, granddaughter Angela Allen and her husband Sean Allen of Gladstone, MO, grandson Nico Yoch and his fiancé Rebecca Ogden of Liberty, MO, grandson Derrick Yoch of Chicago, IL, and great-grandsons, Bradley, Caleb, and Wyatt.
Charlotte was the Matriarch of her family and was always there when you were in need. She was the “glue that held everything together.” She was kind, understanding, and nonjudgmental to whoever she interacted with. She most definitely made lifetime impressions on those that took the time to get to know Charlotte. Charlotte’s passing has left a void in her family as well as the World, she will truly be missed.
