Charlotte Zahner, 94, passed away January 7, 2016 at Olathe Medical Center. Charlotte was born July 31, 1921 in Winwood, Missouri to Jess and Frances Hugunin. She was a lifelong resident of the area and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. On May 3, 1942, she married Frank Anthony Zahner at St. Joseph Church in Shawnee, Kansas. Eight children were born to this union. She loved family gatherings and celebrations. She was eager to baby- sit and help family members whenever needed. Charlotte is survived by her seven children; Sr. Linda Zahner, OSB, Bob (Debbie) Zahner, Christine Schmidt, Steve (Connie) Zahner, Norma (Steve) Holtmeyer, Paul Zahner, Rosie (Jim) Warhurst, two brothers; Gary and Vincent Hugunin, twenty one grandchildren, and forty two great-grandchildren. Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Frank Anthony, son, Frank Zahner Jr.

A Visitation is set for 6:00 - 8:00 PM, Sunday, January 10, 2016 at The Amos Family Funeral Home 10901 Johnson Drive Shawnee, Kansas 66203 with a Rosary starting at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial is set for 10:00 AM, Monday, January 11, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church 11311 Johnson Drive Shawnee, Kansas 66203. Burial will take place at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
