Cheryl R. Cody

Cheryl R. Cody, 51, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away December 6, 2010.

She was born October 31, 1959, in St. Louis, Missouri to Norman and Edna (Gibbs) Kee. Cheryl graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1982. She spent the last 10 years working at Harmony Elementary School in Overland Park, Kansas. Prior to moving to Kansas City, Cheryl was a buyer for Famous Barr.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her father, Norman Kee and father-in-law Edward Cody. She is survived by her husband Kevin Cody; daughters, Kaitlyn and Lauren Cody; mother Edna Kee; mother-in-law Lorraine Cody; brothers, Marlow and Tim (Kim) Kee; brother-in-law Brian (Jeanne) Cody; and nieces and nephews, Megan and Matt Kee, Noel, Bridgid, and Lea Cody.

Visitation and Funeral Service

A visitation will be held from 4 to 8 pm Friday, December 10, 2010, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 11, 2010, at Church of the Ascension, 9510 W. 127 Street, Overland Park, Kansas, followed by burial in Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa, Kansas.
