Cheryl Anne Parkhurst, affectionately known as Chery, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2025, at Advent Hospital. Born on May 29, 1958, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she graced this world with her presence for 66 years.
Chery dedicated her professional life to serving others, most notably through her work as a hospital switchboard operator where she exhibited a genuine love and talent for customer service. Her warm voice and caring nature were a comfort to many during their most vulnerable moments.
Beyond her work, Chery found joy in collecting lighthouse memorabilia. Her collection was a testament to her passion for the beauty and symbolism of lighthouses, guiding lights amidst the stormy seas.
She leaves behind many cherished memories with those who survive her, including her loving husband, Scott Parkhurst; her mother, Janet Kuemmerlein; her brothers, Marc and Kurt Kuemmerlein; and numerous nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly. She is also survived by the Parkhurst family, her in-laws, who cherished her presence and the joy she brought into their lives.
Chery is preceded in death by her father, Robert Kuemmerlein, and her brother, Bob Kuemmerlein.
Chery's life was a beacon of kindness and care, and she will be remembered fondly by all whose lives she touched.
