Clara Ilene Mccoonse

Clara Ilene McCoonse, 83, Olathe, KS passed away Friday, April 3, 2015 at the Evergreen Community of Johnson Co., Olathe, KS.

Clara was born July 7, 1931 in Ada, KS to Walter and Viola Brouhard. She was raised in Hope, KS where she graduated high school. Clara was married to William McCoonse on Nov. 23, 1950 in Hope, KS. They moved to Overland Park, KS in 1962 where they resided for over 60 years. Clara retired from JC Penny, where she was a credit associate. She was a longtime member of the Lenexa Central Church of the Nazarene.

Clara was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, William McCoonse. Survivors include her three daughters, Colleen (Roger) Hess, Chambersburg, PA, Kathy (Tim) Norden, Lenexa, KS and Karen (Glenn) Radinsky, Lansing, KS; son, Kelly McCoonse, Odessa, MO; three sisters, Betty Frobenius, Elsie Riffel and Carol Troop; two brothers, Jerry Brouhard and Clayton Brouhard; four grandchildren, Amy (Jon) Williams, Lesa Norden, Joel Cantwell and Sarah Norden; and eight great grandchildren, Grant, Cooper, Kennedy, Autumn, Spencer, William, Kaydi, and Addilynne.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 10, 2015 at the Lenexa Central Church of the Nazarene, 12600 W. 87th St., Lenexa, KS 66215; burial in the Pleasant View Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Amos Family Funeral Home.
