Claude M. Cornett

Claude M. Cornett, 81, of Kansas City, formerly of New Chicago, IN passed away Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the Brookdale at Rosehill.

Claude was born February 25, 1936 to the late Alberta and Bethel Cornett in Harlan County, KY.  Claude graduated from Evarts High School in 1954.  On April 5, 1956 Claude married Sylvia Annette Walker in Kentucky.  Claude was a Switchman for the EJ&E Railroad for 40 years before retiring.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Sylvia in June of 2011.

He is survived by his son, Greg Cornett (Vickie); granddaughter, Kaley Kocinski (Ben).
