Cleo Lorene Blake

December 16, 1917 — June 14, 2011

Cleo Lorene Blake, Shawnee, Kansas, went to be with her Lord on June 14, 2011.

She was born in Forest City, Missouri, December 16, 1917. She has lived most of her life in Shawnee, moving here in 1943.

She was preceded in death by her husband William (Bud) Blake; son Steve Blake; parents Jim and Mae McClanahan; sisters Gwendolyn Sevier and Pauline Bear; and brothers Bill and Jim McClanahan.

She is survived by sons Michael Blake, Chicago, Illinois, and Jim Blake (Debbi) and daughter Sandy Kincade (Danny) both of Shawnee; 4 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to Hospice Care of Kansas, 15329 W. 95th Street, Lenexa, Kansas 66219 or the First Baptist Church of Shawnee, 11400 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, Kansas 66203.

Visitation and Funeral Service

Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 am, Saturday, June 18, 2011, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. Funeral service will follow the visitation at 11 am; burial at Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
