Clifford Eugene Jennings, Ret. Usaf

Clifford E. Jennings, 85, Olathe, KS passed away Friday, March 25, 2016 at Nottingham Health and Rehabilitation, Olathe, KS.

Clifford was born December 13, 1930 in Ava, MO to Clifford B. and Erma Jennings. He graduated from Ava High School in 1948. Following high school, Clifford enlisted in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He retired Senior Master Sargent US Air Force in 1976. On February 4, 1954, Clifford married Joyce Franklin in Peterborough, England. They had three children, Dale Jennings, born in England, David Jennings, born Springfield, MO and Debbie Jennings, born in Germany.

After retirement, Clifford and his family lived in Springfield, MO and later moved to Shawnee, KS.

Clifford was preceded in death by his son, David Jennings and brother, Robert W. Jennings, both in April 2009. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Jennings; son, Dale (Shelly) Jennings, Shawnee, KS; daughter, Debbie Jennings, Kansas City, MO; sister, Nadine (J.W.) Carroll, Springfield, MO; and two grandchildren, Jared and Danielle Jennings, both of Shawnee, KS.

Memorial services will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 30 at the Shawnee United Methodist Church; inurnment 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 31 at the Springfield Veteran's Cemetery, Springfield, MO with military honors.
