Clyde Shellhammer

Clyde Shellhammer, 85, Overland Park, Kansas, passed away Monday, July 12, 2010, at his home.

Clyde was born June 9, 1925 in Kansas City, Missouri, to Wendell and Mary (Erbert) Shellhammer. On June 12, 1965, Clyde married Agnes Hadle at the Sacred Heart Parish in Gardner, Kansas. He was a postal clerk for the US Postal Service in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, for 23 years, retiring in 1985.

Clyde was a member of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees, Shawnee Historical Society and a life member of the Bukavina Society of the Americas.

He is survived by his wife, of 45 years, Agnes Shellhammer.

Funeral Service and Visitation

Visitation will be from 6:30-8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 15, 2010, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee, where a Rosary Recitation will be at 6:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am, Friday, July 16, 2010, at Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 71st Street and Metcalf Avenue, Overland Park, Kansas. Burial in the Olathe Memorial Cemetery.
