Craig Herter, 53, of Shawnee, Kansas, passed away peacefully at his home on March 26, 2014, surrounded by his loved ones.

Craig was born on August 24, 1960, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Ellis and Shirley Herter. He married Tracy Herter on October 14, 1994. Together they had three beautiful daughters, Christian Shanyn, Katelyn Marie and Laura Ellen. He will be remembered as a loving husband, amazing father and faithful parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Shawnee, Kansas.

Craig was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Jones Herter. He is survived by his wife, Tracy, and their three daughters; his father, Ellis Herter; four brothers, Keith (Nancy) Herter, Wade Herter, Vaughn (Kathy) Herter and Shawn (Tara) Herter; many nieces and nephews; and lots of extended family and friends.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Crossroads Hospice for the exceptional care they took of Craig.

Mass and Visitation

A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Tuesday, April 1st at 11:00am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Shawnee, Kansas. A Visitation will be before the Mass from 9:30-11:00 a.m.. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Lenexa, Kansas.
