Cynthia M. Pounds

Cynthia M. Pounds, 61, of Overland Park, KS, passed away, Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family and close friends. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to St. Luke's Hospice.

Cyndi was born October 23, 1953 in Kansas City, MO to Carl and Benita Wilson. She worked in various positions at Holy Cross Catholic School in the Northeast area. Her greatest joy was working with the preschool children.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Tim Pounds; two daughters, Nicole Pounds-Smead and her husband James Smead of Las Vegas, NV, and Cari Pounds, of Kansas City, MO; her grandchildren, Mackenzie, Ian, Jackson, Myles, and Benjamin; a brother, Carl (Kathy) Wilson, of Overland Park, KS; and four sisters, Barbara (Joe) Beach, of Kansas City, MO, Margaret (John) Lightner, of Overland Park, KS, Liz Cessor, of Olathe, KS, and Teresa (Bob) Germinder, of Merriam, KS.
