Cynthia Richey, 78, died Wednesday, Sept 28, 2016 after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. Through her life she enjoyed many friends and activities, the outdoors and trying new things, like camping and skiing in Colorado, boating in the Ozarks and taking up square and ballroom dancing. She loved animals and raised horses, dogs, cats, chickens, geese and ducks. In early retirement, she moved to Arizona where she enjoyed the community, hiking, biking, and living next to open space where she saw bobcats and other wildlife. She embraced the music scene where she joined the Silveridge Pops Orchestra in the percussion section and served as librarian for a number of years. When she became ill with Parkinson's and could no longer perform, the Orchestra formed the Bill and Cynthia Richey Scholarship Fund in her honor which provides scholarships to students studying music. She is and always will be loved and remembered.
