Dan R. Tribble, 88, of Overland Park, KS, passed away July 19, 2014. He was born March 6, 1926 in Kennett, MO to Elmer and Ethel (Jones) Tribble. He graduated from high school in Memphis, TN. Dan joined the US Navy at the age of 17 and served during WWII on an LSM in the Pacific. During the Korean Conflict he served with the US Air Force. Dan worked for 43 years for the Dodson Insurance Group before retiring in 1991. He married Carol Watson in 1961. She preceded him in death in 1999. Dan was also preceded in death by his parents, sister, Aileene Allison and brother Price Tribble. He is survived by his son Dan R. Tribble, II (Denise), daughter Rebecca Rauter (Brian), grandchildren; Corey, Sean, and Caitlin, four step-grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Dan was a strong, yet loving man that never met a stranger and will be forever missed by his family and friends. The family would like to extend their deep appreciation to Garden Terrace and Crossroads Hospice for their compassionate care.

Visitation & Service

A visitation will be held Wed. from 6 to 8 pm at the Amos Family Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Thurs. at 10 am also at the funeral home.
