Dana Ann Hild

Dana Ann Hild, 79, of Shawnee, passed away Friday, July 2, 2010 at her home. Dana was born August 24, 1930 to John and Freda Durfee in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Dana attended the University of Kansas. She married F. Wayne Hild, who preceded her in death in September 2007. Dana was a member of the Shawnee United Methodist Church, Beatrice Chapter # 450 of the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Abdallah Shrine Ladies Auxiliary.

Dana is survived by her three daughters, Elizabeth A. Doss, Springdale, Arlamsas; Susan L. Blankenship, Paola, Kansas; and Melinda L. Kavanaugh, Shawnee, Kansas; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

The family suggests memorial contributions in lieu of flowers be made to the Vitas Hospice, 10000 W. 75th Street, Overland Park, Kansas 66204.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be 2 to 3 p.m. Tuesday July 6, 2010, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. at the Chapel with burial at Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens.
