Dana Hill Winterscheidt

March 13, 1925 — January 30, 2015

Dana Hill Winterscheidt returned to his Lord Friday, Jan. 30, 2015 after suffering many years from dementia. He was born march 13, 1925, in Topeka, Kansas to Fred and helen Winterscheidt. Dana's family transferred to Kansas City, Missouri, where he attended grade school and three years at Paseo High School. They late moved to Johnson County, Kansas. He graduated from Shawnee Mission Rural High School in 1943 and attended UMKC for a year. He became interested in body-building and boxing. Dana joined the family business, Winterscheidt Motors in Olathe, Kansas, and later was successful in the insurance and real estate business. He served two years in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Jean and his sister, Sally Bennett. He is survived by his niece, Sarah Bennett of Fr. Collins, Colorado, nephews, Doug Bennett and wife Stephanie of Overland Park, Kansas, Dr. Dana Bennett and wife, Patti of Pueblo, Colorado, and Darroll Bennett of Laramie, Wyoming; great - niece, Bethanie Willson and her daughter, Sophia Timmons and Ella Jane Willson and great-nephews, Elliot Nesch of Oregon and Ethan Nesch of Ft. Collins, Colorado, and Virginia M. Griffith, Lenexa, Kansas, his long-time care-giver and guardian Angel. He was a gentle gentleman who was always in a suit or sport coat and tie. Dana belonged to the American Legion Post #327.

Cremation. Private inurnment in the Resurrection Cemetery in Lenexa, KS.
