Daniel P. Miller

Daniel P. (Danny) Miller, 65, Edgerton, Kansas, passed away April 25, 2010.

Daniel was born February 28, 1945 in Kansas City, Missouri, to Albert and Agnes (Crowley) Miller. Daniel was raised in Shawnee, Kansas. He served in the National Guard from 1966-1971. He was an avid Chiefs fan, enjoyed reading and loved to hunt and fish. He was a carpenter for over 30 years and co-owned B&M Construction. Daniel used his skills to help many people and was always a friend when you needed one. He was a member of the VFW, the American Legion, Lenexa Gun Club and a Hunter Safety Instructor.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Michael James Miller and Robert Miller, sisters-in-law, Berniece Miller and Barbara A. Miller, nephew, Gregory J. Miller. He leaves his two daughters, Carrie (Ken) Littlefield, Gardner, Kansas and Danielle (Mike) Szoke, Shawnee, Kansas; grandchildren, Ryan, Elizabeth and Skylar; three sisters, Carole (Bob) Burns, Kathy (Mark) Gandy and Aggie (Alan) Willoughby; four brothers, Albert E. Miller, John J. (Barbara) Miller, I, Bernard (Margie) Miller and Tom Miller. Numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and will be missed by all who knew him.

Visitation and Funeral Service

Visitation will be from 6-8 pm, Thursday, April 29, 2010, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee, where a Rosary recitation will be at 6:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am, Friday, April 30, 2010, at St. Joseph Catholic Church; inurnment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery.
