Daniel Ray Reichley

Daniel Ray Reichley, 70, of Shawnee, KS passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at his home. A celebration of Daniel’s life will be at a later date at Olathe Fellowship Church. Daniel will be laid to rest at Leavenworth National Cemetery at 9 a.m. on Friday, June 4, 2021. The family suggests memorial contributions be made in lieu of flowers to the City Union Mission, 1100 E. 11th Street, Kansas City, MO, 64106 cityunionmission.org. Daniel was born March 20, 1951 to the late Roscoe and Beatrice (Walters) Reichley in Huntington, Indiana. Daniel enlisted as a Munitions Systems Technician in the United States Air Force in 1970. He married Lynn Pincock in Elko, NV on November 3, 1973. Daniel’s military career spanned over 22 years and he earned the rank of Master Sergeant and served in support of Operation Desert Shield/Storm from August 1990 until his retirement in September 1992. After retiring from the military, Daniel was ordained as a minister and served as Pastor for Greendale Baptist Church in Kansas City, KS and Bosworth Baptist Church in Bosworth, MO. He recently was working as an order fulfillment specialist at 1A Auto. He enjoyed serving the less fortunate and volunteered his time at City Union Mission and was an active member at his home church, Olathe Fellowship. Daniel is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Lynn; a daughter, Jennifer Shivley and husband Kenneth; Russell Reichley and wife Angela; David Reichley and wife Lauren; three sisters, Sue Dingus and husband Joe; Linda Pline and husband Bob; Becky Long; 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
