Daniel Lee Sailler Sr., 91, of Shawnee, KS passed away February 3, 2016. Daniel was born November 19, 1924 in Kansas City, Kansas to Charles and Margaret Sailler. He was the owner of Sailler Brothers Groceries in Shawnee, Kansas and Jodi's Drive-In Restaurant in Overland Park, Kansas with his brother Charles (Chuck). He was a Lieutenant in the Navy as a Pilot in WWII. Daniel was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Shawnee, Kansas, American Legion Post #327, St. Joseph Parish Knights of Columbus. Daniel enjoyed playing cards including hearts, spades and bien. He was a professional dancer and acrobat with his sister Mary Lou in his younger years. Daniel is survived by his son, Daniel (June) Sailler Jr. of Overland Park, Kansas, daughter, Joan (Lou) Moore of Shawnee, Kansas, two grandchildren, Daniel Sailler III (Jackie), Erin (Ryan) Sailler Alex, four great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Sailler, Henry Sailler, Clara Alex, William Alex and one Sailler great-grandchild due in April, and many nieces and nephews. Daniel was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Anne Sailler in 1999, son, Patrick in 1987, parents, three sisters, Aletha, Muriel, Mary Lou and one brother, Charles (Chuck) Jr. The family would like to give a special thank you to Bernice Herpich, Ben Nicks, and Barb Hanson.

Services

A Visitation is set for 9:30 ~ 10:30 AM, Saturday, February 6, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church 11311 Johnson Drive Shawnee, Kansas with a Mass of Christian of Burial immediately following at 10:30 AM. Burial will take place at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
