Darlene K. Covell

Darlene K. (Estes) Covell passed away in the loving embrace of her family on August 6, 2018 in the sanctuary of her home. Darlene was born and raised in the area and just celebrated her 62nd birthday.

She was a daughter, wife, mother and grandmother who doted on her 2 granddaughters and enjoyed strong family support.

She was a conscientious and dedicated worker with job history at Johnson County Pediatrics, Market Place Animal Hospital, Shawnee Mission School District and Dr. Daniel Zimmerman.

Darlene enjoyed spinning, knitting, sewing and had recently taken up quilting.

Surviving family includes her husband of 44 years, Bob, son Eric (Stacy), daughter Laura (Jeff), two granddaughters, (Elise and Alaina) sister Debbie (Bill), brother Daryl (Pam) numerous nieces and nephews and their children. Family gatherings could reach 30 members.

A public visitation will be held on Saturday, Aug. 11 from 2-4 PM at Amos Funeral Home at, 11901 Johnson Dr., Shawnee, KS, 66203.
