Darrel Daniel Teske

Darrel Daniel Teske, 90, transcended to heaven January 17, 2018 in Leawood, KS. Darrel was born June 10, 1927 to William and Agnes Teske. Darrel, a proud navy veteran retired from AT&T in 1982 as a staff supervisor in Training/Course Development in the Operations and Engineering Department.

He started his own heating and air conditioning company, Teske Airco and was an instructor at Penn Valley Community College. For over 30 years Darrel was active with the Telecom Pioneers, earning Pioneer of the year award twice.

Darrel worked on several projects including:  talking book repairs, Special Olympics and his favorite, the beeping Easter Egg hunt for the blind, where he served as project leader.

Darrel is  survived by his wife, Juanita Teske, of 61 years,  his children, Cynthia Evitt  and Ross Teske, four grandchildren, Octavia (Toby)  Vonderheyde, Gabriel  (Michelle), Coon, Forrest  Teske and Katherine Elizabeth Marie Teske, three  great-grandchildren, Arielle,  Teagan and Ella. Darrel was preceded in death by his parents, a son, James Daniel and a brother Milton Teske.

The family will greet friends and family during a reception beginning at 10:30 am, followed by a Celebration of Life at 12:00 noon, Saturday, January 27, 2017 at Unity Church of Overland Park, 10300 Antioch Road, Overland Park, Kansas 66212.
