Darryl D. Motti, 81, of Overland Park, KS passed away Sunday, February 9th at Olathe Hospice House.
He graduated from Westport High School in 1957. On October 24, 1964, Darryl married Marvina Coats in Portland, Indiana. Darryl was an active member of the Central Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed spending time with his family and playing internet checkers with people all over the world. Darryl worked as the head custodian for Shawnee Mission West High School for over 35 years before retiring in 2002. After retirement, Darryl and Marvina enjoyed taking bus tours all throughout the Midwest.
Darryl is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Marvina; his children, Michael Motti and wife Tammy; Sharryl Kinsey and husband Toby; four grandchildren, Amber Williams and husband Eric; Ashley Westhoff and husband Samuel; Joshua Motti; Lily Motti; and a great granddaughter, Paisley Kinsey. Darryl is preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Evans.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 11 at the Amos Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Darryl will be laid to rest in Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Scott, KS at 1 p.m. on Wednesday. Darryl was born December 10, 1938 to the late Walter and Willie Motti in Fort Scott, Kansas.
