David A. Aguilar, Sr., 56, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away Tuesday morning, March 29, 2011, at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
David was born November 2, 1954, to Timothy and Patricia Aguilar in Kansas City, Missouri. David graduated from Shawnee Mission North in 1973. He worked as a trackman and equipment operator for the Union Pacific Railroad for 36 years before retiring in February of 2010. David was an avid golfer and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
David is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia and his brother Timothy, Jr. He is survived by his loving wife Debbie, of 17 years; two daughters, Mary Fugate and Victoria Aguilar both of Belton, Missouri; a son David, Jr. and Whitney of San Francisco, California; his father Timothy, Sr., of Mission, Kansas; a sister Veronica Foote and husband Michael, Olathe, Kansas; a brother, Patrick Aguilar and wife Glenda, Lenexa, Kansas; three step daughters, Cheryl Myrick and husband John,; Michelle Nava, Jackie Alejandre and husband Petie, all of Kansas City, Kansas; 17 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Visitation and Funeral Service
Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, April 3, 2011, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Monday, April 4, 2011, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 5250 Mission Road, Roeland Park, Kansas.
