Born in Kansas City, Kansas David graduated from Argentine High School. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Judith (Jolly); four children, Cristie Sims (Warren), Robin Gunkle (Eric), Tammie Stueber (Brad), David Clement (Micheleine); ten grandchildren, Jesse Sims, Annie Werner (Ryan), Ryan Sims, Carly Gunkle, Kelsey Jones (Nick), Brendon Gunkle, Kyle Stueber, Hailey Stueber, Mallory Hoisington, Austin Hoisington; one great grandchild, Maddox Mondero; a brother, Jerry Clement (Carolyn), and sister, Linda Clement.
He retired from General Motors to live at the Lake of the Ozarks in 2001. He and his brother Jerry became historical mountain man re-enactors, featured at Warsaw Heritage Days and Olathe's Bullwhacker Days.
Memorial service at Amos Funeral Home, Shawnee, Oct. 3, 2 PM. Immediately following, join the family to continue celebrating David's life at Tammie and Brad's home.
