David E. Jones

David E. Jones, 49, of Merriam, Kansas, passed away October 18, 2010.

David was born June 16, 1961 in Kansa City, Missouri, to Robert Jones and Patsy (Pickett) Jones Barden.

He attended Shawnee Mission West High School and was in the class of 1979. He was an avid fan of Motorsports, which he acquired from his father's business JO CO Motors Yamaha.

David was preceded in death by his father Robert E. Jones and by a brother Mark Jones.

He is survived by his mother, Patsy Barden and his step-father Marvin. He is also survived by his sister Dee Elder and husband Ron of Lenexa, Kansas; nephew Scott Alan Franklin and wife Callen of Palos Verdes, California’ and by his nurse at Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care, Misty Brown, of Shawnee, Kansas.

Memorial Visitation

A memorial visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m., Saturday, October 30, 2010, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee.
