David L. Homrighausen

October 28, 1969 — November 4, 2013

David was born October 28, 1969 in Minot, North Dakota. He grew up in Overland Park, Kansas and graduated from Shawnee Mission West high school. He received a Bachelor's degree in Commercial Art from the University of Kansas. He was married to Megan Danley Homrighausen and has two beautiful boys, Kasen Von Homrighausen, age 6 and Wolfgang Von Homrighausen, age 3. David loved spending time with his wife, playing and rough-housing with his boys, and wrestling with little Wolfie. He took up the sport of rock climbing and often took Kasen with him to the rock climbing facility, which Kasen called the "Rockin' Gym," and Dave eventually taught him to climb, too. Dave was also into archery, and taught Kasen to use a bow. His goal was to go bow hunting for deer. Dave's professional work was as an accounts receivable specialist, and he was talented in this profession. He also spent many years of part time work at Tasso's Greek restaurant, and enjoyed long term friendships with many of the crew. Throughout his life, he made friends easily, loved and appreciated them, and they were great friends to him in return. David passed away unexpectedly, Monday, November 4th, 2013. He will be greatly missed by his wife and children, as well as his parents, Don & Kathy Homrighausen. Also, his sister Michelle Harper, her husband Jim Harper, and their two children Seth and Emma. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ruth King and August and Lillian Homrighausen. Dave was one of a kind, and will be sorely missed.
