David Lee Rothe, 53, of Overland Park, passed away Friday, June 19, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

David was born October 15, 1961 to the late Leonard and Mary Rothe in Kansas City, Kansas. He graduated from Shawnee Mission Northwest in 1980. After high school David went to work as a Machinist for Vita Craft for almost 32 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Nancy; friend and son, Kevin Ashcraft, Brian Ashcraft; a daughter, Karla Ashcraft; a sister, Barbara Brinkley (Carlis); two granddaughters, Jill and Jamie Ashcraft; a loyal companion, Sparky; 3 nieces and 4 great grandchildren.

Services and Visitation

Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Thursday, June 25 at the Amos Family Funeral Home in Shawnee. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
