David E. Saucerman

David E. Saucerman, 83, of Shawnee, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2011, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center.

David was born August 29, 1927, to the late John and Elnora Saucerman in Kansas City, Kansas. He graduated from Ward High School in 1945. David worked at the General Motors Fairfax Assembly Plant for 34 years and was a member of UAW Local #31. On October 1, 1949 he married Beverly Willard in Kansas City, Kansas. He is preceded in death by his brother, John H. Saucerman, Jr.

Dave is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Beverly; four sons, David and wife Barbara, Daniel and wife Patricia, Patrick and wife Kelli, James and wife Jill; a sister, Kay Rassmussen; seven grandchildren, Timothy Saucerman, Robby Saucerman, Jeffery Saucerman, Melvin Lamb, Lori Brooks, Cari Saucerman, Katie Saucerman; eight great grandchildren, Dominic Gooch, Britney Saucerman, Silas Saucerman, Oscar Saucerman, Angela Lamb, Brailey Brooks, McKinley Brooks, Josie Saucerman.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Shawnee Community Services, 11110 W. 67th Street, Shawnee, Kansas 66203.

Visitation and Memorial Service

Visitation will be 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, August 13, 2011, with a Celebration of David's life to follow at 3:30 p.m. at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee.
