David L. Yonkey

David L. Yonkey, 65, of Shawnee, KS, passed away on October 15, 2015 at KU Medical Center from complications of treatment for Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

David was born in Bay City, MI, on Feb. 14, 1950 to Gus and Thelma Foster Yonkey. He grew up in Iowa and served in the Air Force from 1970 to 1974. He worked for 40 years in medical equipment repair and retired from Siemens in 2013.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy (Voth), children, Lauren and Bradley, and his brothers, Michael and Leon.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00am Monday at the Shawnee United Methodist Church. Visitation will be 5:00pm to 7:00pm Sunday at Amos Family Funeral Home.

The family suggests contributions to the church.
