Dean Wells

Dean M. Wells, 65, of Shawnee, passed away Monday, June 11, 2012, at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

Dean was born June 10, 1947, to the late Jack and Dorothy Wells in Kansas City, Kansas. Dean graduated from Shawnee Mission West High School in 1965. On February 20, 1971, he married Berniece Myers in Overland Park, Kansas.

He was an active member of Shawnee Full Gospel Church. He enjoyed helping maintaining the church and grounds. Dean also liked to lend a helping hand where needed.

Dean is also preceded in death by his brothers, Joe Wells and Danny Allen. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Berniece; three sons, Patrick Wells, Mike Wells and wife Vikki, and Scott Wells; a daughter, Christina Fowler and husband Brenden; sister Darlene Hans; brother Jack Wells; five grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

Visitation will be 3:00-6:00 p.m., Friday, June 15, 2012, at the Amos Family Funeral Home and Crematory. A Celebration of Dean's life will follow the visitation at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
