Deanna Mae Brunner, 50, of Shawnee, passed away peacefully in her sleep Monday, March 26 surrounded by family.
Deanna was born October 29, 1961 in Kansas City, KS. She graduated from Turner High School in 1979. Deanna, a country girl at heart brought much joy to others through her life long passion of singing classical country songs. At an early age, Deanna was blessed with a son and devoted the rest of her life to ensure his success.
Deanna was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was active with the Glow Girls at the Church of the Resurrection.
She is preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Killingsworth, a brother Randy, and sister Jana.
Deanna is survived by her husband, James Brunner, son Jason Brunner, her mother Betty Jenkins and husband Denzel; a brother, Gary Killingsworth and his wife, a lifelong friend of Deanna, Karri; a niece, Lynn Ann Flinn; step sister, Cheryl Anderson; and step brother, Robert Trussell.
Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 29, 2012, at the Amos Family Funeral Home and Crematory, where a Rosary will be prayed at 5:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 30, 2012, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 11311 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, Kansas 66203. Deanna will be laid to rest in Maple Hill Cemetery, Kansas City, Kansas
