Della Faye Readnour, 83, of Shawnee, formerly of Topeka, KS, passed away Thursday, December 25, 2014 at Brookdale of Shawnee.

Della was born November 23, 1931 to the late Herman and Hazel Gibson in Wichita, KS. Della had a long career as a purchasing agent for the BNSF railroad. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, and dessert, especially anything chocolate.

Della is preceded in death by her 1st husband of 30 years, Robert G Eells, her 2nd husband of 31 years, Earl Readnour; her twin sister, Bettie M. Breeding; and her two brothers, Quincy and Paul Gibson. She is survived by her two daughters, Karen Whallon and husband Mike; Donna "Dee" Ashworth and husband Terry Tolar; son, David Readnour and wife Vickie; six granddaughters, Courtney Stroud and husband Michael; Whitney Omer and husband Sky; Kim Distefano and husband Frank; Kristi Ashworth; Lauren Rodriguez and husband Ederick; Emily Readnour; two great grandsons, Luke Stroud and Tony Distefano; three great granddaughters, Olivia and Isabella Corners; Jocelyn Rodriguez and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside Services

Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, December 29th at Memorial Park Cemetery in Topeka.
