Delores (Dee) Jane Carver, 96, of Lenexa, KS passed away from complications of Parkinson's and recovering from Covid-19 on November 17, 2020.
Dee was born on July 10,1924, in Akron, Ohio, daughter of Perry I. Eilbeck and Lavenia Nancy Warnock Eilbeck. She leaves a son, Dale Scott (Becky), daughter, Beth Carver-Swain (Charlie), daughter-in law, Kathy Carver, six grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 64 yrs, Dale Elden, two sons, David Elden and Douglas Alan and beloved Aunt Minnie Warnock Speer.
Upon graduation from Akron North, Dee entered Akron City School of Nursing. In 1945, she began her 50yr RN clinical and medical career, with pediatrics being her favorite. She always put others first, was generous, and kept a positive attitude when life threw her curves. After many Goodyear career moves with Dale's work, Dee made many lifelong friends all over the country with her sincerity, candidness, fun loving, good-natured and caring attitude. Needlepoint, knitting, bowling, reading, and loving on her puppies, were a few of her favorite hobbies. Dee was a proud member of her Nursing Alumni and Eastern Star. She was loved by her children, grandchildren, and her wonderful caregivers at Lakeview Village.
Private services will be held in Akron, Ohio when we take her home.
