Dennis Pagacz

Dennis Pagacz passed away on March 8, 2024. He was born on November 13, 1955 in Kansas City, KS to parents Rosemary O’Grady Pagacz (Vesel) and Stephen Pagacz. Dennis attended Bishop Ward High School, graduating in 1973.

After being introduced by mutual friends in 1977, Dennis married the smoke show, Connie Cook, in 1980. She was at his side when he passed. The two welcomed surprise daughter Taylor in 1999. Connie says her fondest memory of Dennis was being in the delivery room together the day Taylor was born, “I don’t think he ever thought he would be a father.”

Dennis loved to hunt (his first buck hangs proudly above their fireplace to this day), gardening, was a master tinkerer, and had recently taught himself to play guitar.

To know Dennis was to know his passion for cooking and baking; he especially enjoyed sharing new recipes with friends and family (pierogis and ugly duckling cake are family favorites). He would hate this obituary and will be missed.

A visitation will be from 1:00 - 3:00pm, Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, Kansas 66203 with a reception also.
