Diana Marie Robinson

January 17, 1944 — November 24, 2013

Diana M. Robinson, 69, of Shawnee, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Delmar Gardens of Lenexa.

Diana was born January 17, 1944, to the late Thomas L. and Frances M. Robinson in Kansas City, Missouri. She was a lifelong Kansas City area resident and graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1961. After high school Diana attended Mt. St. Scholastica. Diana loved children and was an excellent gardener. She enjoyed coffee, donuts and M&M's. Diana was a lover of all animals, but dogs held a special place in her heart. She is also preceded in death by her niece and goddaughter Karen M. Klein.

Diana is survived by her loving daughter Laura A. Knox and husband Russell Ball; a sister, Cindy Klein and husband Bill; a brother, Tom Robinson and wife Jeanine; two granddaughters, Andrea Hernandez-Knox and Sofia Ball; two nephews, Matt Robinson and wife Jenny; Shawn Robinson; and former son in law, Miguel Hernandez.

The family wishes to thank the caregivers and nurses with Vitas Hospice for the attentive and loving care Diana was shown over the past months.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 26, 2013, at the Amos Family Funeral Home and Crematory, a Rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, burial will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.

The family suggests in addition to flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105 or to Operation Breakthrough, 3039 Troost Avenue, Kansas City, Missouri 64109.
