Donald Attebery

Don Attebery, 59, of Shawnee, KS, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2018.

Don is survived by his wife, Joanne; three children, Jeremy Attebery, Tiffany Attebery, Renee Attebery; three step-children, Jared Gendvil, Rikianne Reaves, and Gabrielle Gendvil; a sister, Shirley Fort; three brothers, Ron Attebery, Dennis Attebery, and Max Attebery; and sixteen grandchildren (three grandsons and 13 granddaughters).

Don’s passion was riding his motorcycle, and he loved riding with his wife, Joanne, right behind him. He also loved working with his hands, whether it was fixing machinery at work, or just helping to fix items around the house.

Don loved his family and his children. He had a strong work ethic, but he always made time to be the best Dad he could be. He taught his kids many things, such as how to fish, how to ride motorcycles, and how to ride and care for horses. Most importantly, he taught them how to love their children, and how to be caring and empathetic towards others. He was a kind, passionate, helpful and caring man. Don holds a special place in the hearts of all of the family he left behind.

Don will be greatly missed, but he will always live on in the hearts and memories of his children and family.

Visitation will be 6 - 8 p.m., Tuesday at the Amos Family Funeral Home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
