Donald I. Gossett

Donald I. Gossett, 69, of Baldwin City, Kansas, formerly of Shawnee, Kansas, passed away April 13, 2010.

Don was born in Independence, Kansas, on April 11, 1941. He owned Gossett & Assoc. Commercial Real Estate in Kansas City for 25 years as a CPM. He was a member and past president of IREM. He served 4 years in the USAF. He liked to play golf and loved old cars especially Model A's. He was a 50 year Mason and a member of the Scottish Rites. He was active at the United Methodist Church in Baldwin City.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sue (Lakin) Gossett; two sons, Eric (Shelly) Gossett, Chad (Mirian) Gossett; granddaughters Cherié, Chanté, Calah & Rayanna; and sisters, Jean (Gary) Lakin and Linda (Sam) Hill.

The family suggests memorial contributions to St. Luke's Foundation Fund, Heart Transplant, 4225 Baltimore Avenue, Kansas City, Missouri 64111.

Visitation and Memorial Service

A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 3:00 pm at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. A visitation will follow the service.
