Donald Herbert Hersh

Donald H. Hersh, 84, of Overland Park, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Trinity Nursng and Rehab.

Donald was born December 19, 1930 in Alma, KS to the late Gerald and Freda Hersh. After graduating from Central High School in Kansas City, Don attended Kansas State University, where he earned a degree in Electrical Engineering. While in college, Don joined the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War. Don is preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Virginia, in 2006. He is survived by his son, Steve Hersh and wife Ja; a sister Lois Graham; three grandchildren, Jennifer Hersh; Katie Hersh; Kenny Hersh; great grandson Duvier Christian Giles and Katie's and fiancé Jorge Giles; Donald was admired and adored by his family and will be deeply missed. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the care and support Donald received during his illness.

Graveside services will be 12 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, at Floral Hills Cemetery, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City, MO.
