Donald J. Jefferson, 89, passed away on July 30, 2017. Donald was born in Lohrville, Iowa to Paul and Zathoe Jefferson. Donald graduated from Drake University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business and was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon.  Donald was very active in his community. He was a Mason of 60 years, Shriner, and Rotarian. He served his country in the Army and Navy. Donald was an avid golfer who never met a stranger. He was a very devoted family man. His wife and children always came first and he will be greatly missed. Donald is survived by his wife of 62 years Gleneta, children; Karen (Paul) McDermott, Pamela (Charles) Masterson, four grandchildren; Amanda Mackey, Jeffrey (Heather) Mackey, Jeremy (Michelle) Masterson, Jessie Masterson, three great-grandchildren; Caden, Ella, and Symphony. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Paul Jefferson.

Services

A Visitation is set for 12:00 ~ 1:00 PM, Wednesday, August 2, 2017 with a Masonic service at 1:00 PM at Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, Kansas 66203 with a funeral service following at 1:30 PM. Burial will take place at Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens. The family would like to give a special thanks to the Olathe Hospice House for their loving and compassionate care.
